Analysis of Thermal Stress in Tubesheets with Hydraulically Expanded Tubes

It was the aim of the investigations to develop a universally usable model of calculation on the basis of the finite element analysis and the comparison of experimental investigations by means of thermography and Speckle-Technique, in order to be able to calculate the fatigue strength of the hydraulically joined connections of the tubes and the tubesheet depending on manufacturing and operating parameters, and in particular the influence of temperature. This model is the basis for a systematical and extensive variation of all essential parameters.
