A Balances Energy Consumption Clustering Routing Protocol for a Wireless Sensor Network

2018
In the wireless sensor network (WSN) routing protocol, due to the unreasonable distribution of cluster head nodes, lead to the node energy consumption is too fast problems. In this paper, proposes a balances energy consumption clustering routing protocol for a wireless sensor network(BECR). In BECR, the improved fuzzy C-means (FCM) method is first used to divide the network into clusters, and the node closest to the cluster center is regarded as the initial cluster head. When the energy of the initial cluster head drops by 20%, the fuzzy logic system (FLS) is used to select the cluster head of each cluster. When the energy of the cluster head each drop by 10%, the next round of cluster head elections is performed, otherwise, the cluster head election is not performed. The final simulation results prove the feasibility of the method.
