Great variability lies within the pathology of the developing and growing breast until puberty. Numerous benign breast diseases are encountered among which : congenital and developmental anomalies, aberrations and diseases of ductal or lobular development. Malignancies are rare within this age group and consist of primary breast disease or secondary metastatic or post-radiation therapy lesions. The typical mammary gland pathology of this female period are the benign lesions especially congenital anomalies linked to accessory breast tissue.
