Evaluating the Quality of Color Profiles for Output Devices

This paper focused on the key technology the color profile in the color management. The research analyzed criterion for selecting the feature color and the mechanism of the characterization by taking the output device as research target. And a color profile evaluating model was established based on neutral gray rendering with ICC profile and color difference detection in the experiment. As the results, the evaluation model improved accuracy of the color profile in color management. It can be applied to evaluate color profile and optimize its accuracy.
