Objectives After study of this module the learner will be able to 1) identify the predisposing factors and diagnostic parameters of pregnancy-induced hypertension, 2) compare selected physiologic adjustments of normal pregnancy with those of pregnancy-induced hypertension, 3) identify strategies of nursing management for pregnancy-induced hypertension in various settings, 4) identify factors influencing pregnancy-induced hypertension outcomes and its incidence in future pregnancies, and 5) identify women at risk for pregnancy-induced hypertension.
