Embodiment of the present invention provide a method and apparatus for adaptive CPRI configuration, the method comprising: performing search step rate: linear velocity CPRI receiving side search spaces, and select the corresponding end of the CPRI transmission interface rate; performing transmission level search step: the CPRI transmission level transmitter search space, the search emission level and the receiving end CPRI SERDES serial and serial-parallel converter with the sync signal, if the synchronization is successful, the current transmission level is selected; perform signal quality search step: pre-emphasis and equalization space search space, the number of pre-emphasis current is calculated under the BER parameter and the equalization parameters, if the number of bits smaller than a preset error threshold, then the pre-emphasis current selection parameters and equalization parameters. By using the method and apparatus according to the embodiments of the present invention, the transmitting end only CPRI rate determination device, CPRI link between the devices may adaptively configure the interface rate, pre-emphasis, equalization and other configuration parameters, and to ensure optimal signal quality of the interface .
