From Neuropsychiatry to Social Cognition: A Journey with Berrios

We briefly describe here some of our experiences during the time we spent with Berrios. We see this as a journey in which we gained not just knowledge of psychiatry and neuropsychiatry but a new and broader approach to understanding and researching in psychiatry. In particular, we appreciate the importance of historical and cultural factors in the formation of this knowledge. Our experience was made particularly special in that it was constituted through multiple levels including the intellectual, the multidisciplinary, and the international community in which we were welcomed.
