Who Cares of Anti Corruption Agency? An Assessment of Court Decisions for Corruption Cases in Indonesia Using Proportional Hazard Model

This study examines the length of period of judiciary process across level of courts for corruption cases in Indonesia. Data used in this study were obtained from the Supreme Court decisions during the calendar year 2001-2012 available online. Duration model and proportional hazard model were used in this study. The results show that any corruption case handled by Corruption Eradication Committee (KPK) requires a shorter period of judiciary process than those of cases handled by Police or Public Prosecutor. Furthermore, the length of judiciary process across all courts has reduced significantly since the establishment of KPK.
