Evolución del sistema productivo de leche de bovino en La Frailesca, Chis.

This study analyzes the trajectory of the milk production system of La Frailesca from the supply chain and production system. The current production structure is identified and its configuration is explained based on the dynamics of development and the influence of external and internal historical factors. In order to map and analyze the supply chain and the production system, a series of focused interviews were conducted with key actors selected by their capacity to provide information on the general situation on dairy production in the state and, specifically, in the Frailesca region. The results show that the value chain in La Frailesca has migrated from a single chain structure controlled by a transnational company (monopsony) to a multiplicity of regional chains controlled by a large, medium and small group of buyers with a lower degree of dominance over commercial relations, but with enough power to change the local market conditions (oligopsony). The structural change has improved the price paid to the primary producer; however, imbalances of power persist putting them at a disadvantage.
