A swirl effervescent atomizer for spray combustion

Most of the industrial boilers presently use pressure-swirl atomizers which were designed more than half a century ago. In this study, a novel atomizer design has been conceived, designed, and tested with the hope that this atomizer will make use of the effervescent atomization process to significantly improve the atomization quality, while minimizing modification costs for boiler or furnace upgrading.
