New Far-Infrared Laser Lines from CH2Cl2 Optically Pumped by CO2 Laser

Two new far-infrared laser lines are reported in methylene chloride (CH2Cl2) optically pumped by a CO2 laser. One is the 194-µm line pumped by CO2 10 P(12) and the other is the 233-µm line pumped by 10 P(22). These laser lines may be due to transitions between rotational levels within the v7 vibrational mode.
