Media culture is one of the areas on which our individual and collective identities are produced, establishing belongingness inside relations. In the presented article, I construe the relations between the coming out of the closet process of nine dykes and the role media products had in it. As from a theoretical input of the Cultural and queer Studies, I analyse the relations between the reception practices of series, soap operas, music icons, etc. with the identification and differentiation processes which encompass the recognition and the public announce of dissident sexualities. The methodology used for the study has ethnographic inspiration and it is constructed on in-depth interviews.
