Methyl cyanide in Orion-KL

Observations of 349 GHz J=19−18 CH 3 CN in Orion-KL are reported. Two velocity components have been detected, one corresponding with the quiescent ridge and another with a more turbulent cloud. The latter is centred 10″ northeast of IRc2 and appears to be another site of ongoing star formation and a source of bipolar outflow
