Design and development of Shenzhen urban traffic simulation and public transport information platform

Shenzhen Urban Traffic Simulation System (SUTSS) is the basis and first phase of the intelligent transport information platform for planning and public information service purposes. Its main theme is to construct a core traffic simulation system which consists of five components: a communication network for transport information, a subsystem for data collection of transport information, a traffic simulation subsystem (including macro, mesoand micro levels) and a service subsystem to provide supporting traffic information for planning and decision-making purposes. Being a huge system,the major challenge is to develop a transport information platform to meet the framework of integrating the four subsystems mentioned above.
