Selection Bias and Endowment Effect

Natalie was a 26-year-old woman who suffered from depression. She was not suicidal and was still able to go to work. However, she was tired much of the time and found little joy in activities she formerly found pleasurable. She wanted to treat her condition “naturally,” and found a practitioner of holistic medicine whose blogs she admired. She wrote to the doctor and was sent long questionnaire, shown below, about her symptoms, beliefs, and willingness to change her lifestyle.
