VESBR for the Electromagnetic Scattering of Multilayered Dielectric Objects

2021
Volume equivalent shooting and bouncing ray (VESBR) is a high frequency method, which first introduces volume equivalent sources to consider the contribution of dielectric medium. In previous work, it has been proved its performance in analyzing the scattering of dielectric and composite objects. In this paper, VESBR is extended to analyze the scattering from multilayered dielectric object. Simulation of double layer dielectric medium show that the results of VESBR agree well with those of surface integral equation (SIE). While the computation time and the required memory of VESBR are much less than those of SIE.
