How shortened reliability and post time during startup and computer

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an activation method of a computer for compatibly stabilizing an operation and shortening POST time. SOLUTION: A BIOS_ROM 33 stores a first POST code and a second POST code for ending processing in a shorter time period than the first POST code. After a processor 11 is reset and before loading of an OS is started, an opening sensor 39 detects presence/absence of opening of a cover lid and determines a possibility that physical access is performed to an internal device. The first POST code is executed when it is determined that the possibility of the physical access is high, and the second POST code is executed when it is determined that the possibility of the physical access is low.
