CARGO 2000 : ein neues Transportsystem

The DB is at present examining the possibilities for the conception and introduction of a new container transport system under the designation «CARGO 2000». A rail transport concept was developed for this on the basis of liner trains. In view of the high capacity requirements, a new transshipment system based on automated mechanical handling technology is provided for the transshipment stations
