Perfil das famílias atendidas nas unidades básicas de saúde de Umuarama/PR, que fazem ou não o uso de plantas medicinais

2019
The aim of the present work was to analyze the profile of the families attended at Primary Healthcare Units (UBS) of the city of Umuarama/PR, who make use of medicinal plants or not in order to provide a contribution to the people of the community, with the practice of professionals who work in it. For that, a descriptive study based on a quantitative survey conducted between July and October 2017 was carried out. The interview was carried out with UBS users aged over 18 years. For data collection, a research instrument was used, divided into three parts: I - socio demographic data; II, use of the services and III - the use or not of medicinal plants. Analyzing the profile of families attended at UBS, it was observed that the use of medicinal plants is a natural activity (67,7% of respondents) passed down through generations in families, which, in most cases, are obtained from the backyard of research subjects. It is hoped that this work will contribute to projects developed in primary health care in this municipality, both as a way of preserving and/or contributing to access to other therapeutic options.
