Dynamics of niche of dominant species in Fokienia hodginsii community in Qiyushan Nature Reserve of Jiangxi province.

Based on indexes of Hurlbert,the dynamics of niches Fokienia hodginsii and its main companion spcies in Qiyunshan Nature Reserve of Jiangxi province were studied.The results indicated as follows:the mean values of niche breadth(NB) and niche overlap(NO) of the dominant species were declining,otherwise their important value(IV) rising with the develoment of community.The NB and IV of F.hodginsii showed a trend of "V" shape of "high-low-high",and the amount of species overlapped with F.hodginsii was decreasing along with the age.F.hodginsii and its main companion species changed their ways of resource utilization from competion to complementation,and ultimately formed a relative stable community.
