An apparatus for controlling an internal combustion engine with a variable valve

2003
A method for controlling an internal combustion engine having an intake stroke, a compression stroke, an expansion stroke and an exhaust stroke cycle through in a four-stroke operation and is equipped with a variable valve timing system, characterized in that the operation of the internal combustion engine is temporary such that at least the intake valve of the internal combustion engine is opened by the variable valve timing for the intake valve as the piston in the working stroke moves downward in the cylinder, so that the intake air is supplied from the engine intake system into the cylinder.
