Research on High Frequency Vibration Reduction Using Carrier Phase Shifted PWM for 4*3-Phase Windings Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor

2021
This paper investigates the effect of a Carrier Phase Shifted Pulse Width Modulation(CPS-PWM) on the vibration reduction of inverter-fed multi-phase permanent magnet synchronous motors(PMSMs). This approach reduces vibration by changing the order of the carrier harmonic-induced electromagnetic force on the stator. Experiments prove that this method can effectively suppress vibration at a specific carrier frequency, but the vibration reduction effect depends on the carrier frequency, the mode frequency of the motor and the phase-shifted angles.
