A study on interculturality is presented based on the scenario of change imposed by the globalizing effect as well as the impact of new technologies and their applications in higher education, first clarifying the terms culture, multicultural, multicultural, intercultural, intracultural, among others. The educational curriculum is approached from different points of view. An analysis of intercultural educational policies is made and the case of the Autonomous Indigenous University of Mexico and the Tarasco Project is commented upon to exemplify the achievements in intercultural education at the higher level in Mexico.
