Climate and corrosion-stable layer structure

The invention relates to a weather- and corrosion-resistant layer structure whereby a layer structure which has at least one corrosion- and/or moisture-sensitive layer, such as a solar cell, is encapsulated in such a way that it is weather- and corrosion-resistant by placing a barrier layer over said corrosion- or moisture-sensitive layer. Thin-layers consisting of titanium- or molybdenum nitride, aluminum oxide, silicon nitride and silicon oxynitride are provided for this purpose. The barrier layer can be combined with a supplementary laminate structure of the type found in solar cells.
