A cost-effective solution for realizing talking appliances for the visually impaired

Flagship models of certain appliances only support a talking interface because of the cost incurred by additional hardware/software components. This paper introduces a cost-effective solution for realizing talking appliances, and which is also applicable to voice-recognizing appliances.
