Numerical Study on Shock Wave Interaction over Compression Corner with 30 deg. in Hypersonic Flow

2013
Shock waves are generated around space vehicles under the re-entry environment and they interact with other shock waves or the boundary layer over the wing and flaps. The interactions between shock waves or shock wave/boundary layer cause high local heat flux on the surface. Edney classified the types of these interactions into six[1] and he discussed about the shock interaction patterns in detail.
