Two-photon absorption and optical limiting in poly(styrene maleic anhydride)/TiO2 nanocomposites

2001
Abstract The two-photon absorption (TPA) of poly(styrene maleic anhydride)/TiO 2 nanocomposites has been studied by Z-scan technique. It is believed that the surface state and dielectric confinement effect are mainly responsible for the enhanced nonlinearity of composites, and that the nonlinearity is intimately related to the weight percentage and particle concentration of TiO 2 in nanocomposite. Based on the TPA, we also investigated the optical limiting of composites.
