Rosiglitazone combined with metformin for type 2 diabetes mellitus in 84 young and middle-aged patients

Objective To explore the efficacy of rosiglitazone combined with metformin in the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in 84 young and middle-aged patients.Methods All of the 84 young and middle-aged patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus received rosiglitazone plus metformin.FBG,FMN,and HbA1c were detected.Results FBG gradually declined in all of the patients FBG during 5.5-7.4 mmol/l after one month of treatment; FBG during 5.2-6.5 mmol/l,HbA1c during 6.3-7.2%,and FMN decreased to normal range after three months of treatment.No hypoglycemia or other obvious adverse reactions occurred.Conclusions Rosiglitazone combined with metformin is effective and safe in the treatment of\ type 2 diabetes mellitus in young and middle-aged patients,and it is worth popularizing in primary hospitals.
