Application of a Virtual and Ergonomic Framework for an Industrial Light Vehicle Concept Assembly Process: A Case Report☆

2015
Abstract A systematic methodology has been applied with the help of virtual simulation tools for a conceptual study of an industrial light vehicle concept assembly. All workstations have been defined throughout the manufacturing process. With the help of this methodology, ergonomic studies have been newly developed at every workstation in a way that connects with the classical ergonomic study methodology. These ergonomic studies have focused especially on those workplaces, which offered the worst working conditions. The use of this methodology has provided a step-by-step overall vision of the assembly process from the first concept.
