Research on the Wake Effect of Floating Wind Turbine

Floating wind power exploration becomes a new focus in the development of global offshore wind industry. China is currently carrying out the technical research work on the first floating wind demonstration project. In this paper, the wake response of floating wind turbines has been studied and modeled based on the analysis of the motions of the wind turbines swinging with the foundation due to the impact of wind, waves and ocean currents. The simulation and calculation results show that the motion response of the floating platform has a significant impact on and the wake response of the floating wind turbine.
