A Case Report on Management of Nephrotic Syndrome

Background: The condition nephrotic syndrome causes the kidneys to release a lot of protein into the urine. This can cause a variety of concerns, including swelling of body tissues and an increased risk of infection. Nephrotic syndrome is a kidney illness in which your body excretes an excessive amount of protein in your urine. Damage to the clusters of small blood capillaries in your kidneys that filter waste and excess water from your blood is the most common cause of nephrotic syndrome. The main diagnosis , therapeutic intervention and outcome :After physical examination and investigation, doctor diagnosed a case of nephrotic syndrome with patient was treated Therapeutic intervention : Present case took the medical management with nephrotic syndrome, such as Inj. Vancomycin 500mg (BD), inj. Cefotaxime 500mg  (OD), inj. Amikacin 50mg  (BD),inj. Lasix 20 mg  (BD) for 7 days. Outcome : Patient was taken medications as per doctor order such as lasix to reduce the edema, and also patient condition was good with the medical treatment . Now patient's symptoms reduced and he had in better condition. Nursing perspectives: Fluid intake and output monitored. Monitored and record intake and output accurately; weighed the child same time every day, on the same scale, and in the same clothes; and measure the child's abdomen daily at the umbilicus level.  Relief from edema, improved nutritional status, energy conservation, providing sufficient information about the disease.   Conclusion : The patient taken all treatment with proper medication .  The patient's condition was improved.
