Corrigendum to " Associations of maternal long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids, methyl mercury, and infant development in the Seychelles Child Development Nutrition Study" [NeuroToxicology 29(5) (2008) 776-782]

2011
In the article cited above, it has recently come to the authors’ attention that there were errors in the calculation of Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), Arachidonic acid (AA), Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA), Linoleic acid (LA), V-3 and V-6 concentrations. These errors resulted from applying an incorrect conversion factor to account for sample dilution. As a result, the values for these longchain polyunsaturated fatty acid (LCPUFA) concentrations in Table 2 were incorrectly reported. More specifically, the means, standard deviations and ranges of the reported LCUPFA values are overestimated and should be divided by 6.25. Reported values for the AA/DHA ratio and V-6/V-3 ratio in Table 2 are not affected. The estimated regression coefficients for DHA, AA, EPA + DHA, V-3 and V-6 shown in Table 4 are underestimated and should be multiplied by 6.25, while the p-values are unchanged. Estimated regression coefficients for AA/ DHA ratio and V-6/V-3 in Table 4 are not affected. Results presented in Table 3 and Fig. 1 are not affected. Further details are available from the first author upon request. The conclusions of this article remain unchanged. The authors regret the errors. A R T I C L E I N F O
