A study of international experiences on health sector reform and related references for Chinese essential health care system

Through reviewing of international experience on health reform, authors made recommendations on Chinese essential health care system. Laws on health reform should be made firstly; The principles that equity is the firse priority and efficiency is the second should be ensured. The health reform should base on the actual economic development. The roles of government and market should be recognized correctly, and should combine these two mechanisms weel. The others recommendations are making a good health development plan, emphasizing community health servile, establishing a social long-term care system and broadening the sources of health financing.
