The invention relates to a method for operating a charging device with an electrically operated compressor (8, 8 ', 62) in an engine system (1) with a combustion engine (2), comprising the steps of: - determining (S2, S3, S4; S12, S13, S14) of a certain system state, shut off the internal combustion engine (2); - forming (S5; S15) of a Durchspulpfades between an air supply system (4) and an exhaust system (5) of the engine system (1); - activating (S6; S16) of the electrically operated compressor (8, 8 ', 62) depending on the determined system state.
