Immunobiologic Markers in Benign and Malignant Tumours of the Prostate

1984
Abstract A cursory look at serum and urine markers for benign prostatic hypertrophy (BPH) and prostate cancer (PCa) point to the potential use of prostate tissue-specific antigens and presumptively identified prostate tumour-associated antigens (TAA) for the earlier clinical detection of BPH and PCa. This report relates further studies of cell-mediated immunity in BPH and PCa to presumptively identified prostate TAA as a marker of benign and malignant tumours of the prostate.
