DECODING URBAN LANDSCAPES A Cut in the Neighborhood Mario Quintana Applying Remote Sensing Techniques

The concept of landscape in this traditional view is all that you can see and observe from somewhere. The landscape is built through the territory of organizational relationships, and the result appears in a spatial time dynamics. In this study is within the context of the analysis of changes in the urban landscape of the neighborhood Mario Quintana, located in the municipality of Porto Alegre, the scene of political processes, economic and social factors the shape as a complex geographical framework, as apparent homogeneity reshaping its natural landscape through the relationships between the articulated elements that compose it, such as relief, vegetation and man. Thus the aim of the project is to analyze the changes in the landscape, modeled in the period 2009 e 2013, originating from the actions of agents of change in the neighborhood
