The Latarjet Procedure for Anterior Shoulder Instability Operative Techniques in BS (in progress), Orthopaedics

Abstract Anterior shoulder dislocation is a common event and therapy should be guided by the degree of glenoid bone loss and concomitant humeral pathology. Although soft-tissue repairs have been the mainstay of treatment, high rates of recurrence have led to a search for alternative treatments. The Latarjet procedure has proven to be a durable operation in the treatment of recurrent anterior glenoid dislocation. This review presents the rationale and techniques for the Latarjet procedure.
