The Influence of Thermal Grashof Number, Reynolds Number and Schmidt Number on the Behaviour of a Flow in a Porous Medium

The purpose of this study is to present a new approach to understand the transfers of mass and heat by natural convection or thermosolutal in a vertical cylindrical cavity filled with a porous media and saturated by a Newtonian fluid which has constant thermodynamic properties, with the exception of the density, which varies linearly with the temperature according to the approximation of Boussinesq. For that purpose, we made a theoretical and numerical study of this phenomenon and we used the method of finite volumes to solve the governing equations.
