Use of a composition comprising a fixed pharmaceutically acceptable solvate thereof combination) formoterol, or a salt or solvate of said salt; b) I beclomethasone dipropionate; for the manufacture of a drug administered by inhalation using a dry powder inhaler, formulated as a dry powder composition comprising one or more diluents or carriers, or by a pressurized metered dose inhaler, wherein both active substances (a) and (b) are completely dissolved in a liquid propellant mixture, for use in rescue treatment of acute episodes of asthma attacks, if necessary, as a complement to maintenance treatment of asthma with the same drug.
