1P-425 : Evaluation of supercritical fluid extracts from 3 species plant and 10 essential oils in rodent repellent effectiveness

2019
This study was performed to evaluate the rodent repellency activity of supercritical fluid extracts from 3 species plant and 10 essential oils. For preparation of supercritical fluid extractor(SFE) was used with extraction conditions of ranges from 150 bar to 400 bar. Supercritical fluid extracts from 3 species plant and 10 essential oils were evaluated for repellent efficacy against rodent feed intake suppression and habitat repellency activity. Perilla frutescens and Zanthoxylum piperitum of supercritical fluid extracts showed the best repellent efficacy among the tested plants and essential oils. Also, Peppermint and Nanamint essential oils showed middle efficacy among the tested plants and essential oils.
