The Covid-19 pandemic has shown the absence of policies to combat the disease with indigenous peoples. In the case of Piaui, this situation is aggravated by the historical invisibility of these peoples, causing the lack of health care or the denial of one of their constitutionally guaranteed rights. Further evidence of this problem is given by the absence of official data. Faced with this situation, indigenous organizations and supporters of the movement have been trying to produce data on the pandemic among the state's ethnic groups.
