Optimization of chitinase production conditons of a marine bacterium by response surface methodology

Objective: To optimize the chitinase production conditions of a marine baterium.Method: On the basis of single-factor test,the effects of the interactions of each 2 factors on chitinase production were analyzed by response surface methodology.Results: The optimum culture conditions were: temperature 26℃,NaCl 3.39% and initial pH value of medium 6.3.Conclusion: After optimization,the chitinase production increased about 5.4 times.
