Polarization-correlation studies of multifractal structures in biotissues and diagnostics of their pathologic changes

2000
The results of polarization-correlation studies of the multifractal collagen structure in physiologically normal and pathologically modified tissues of a female reproductive sphere and skin integument are presented. The method of polarization selection of coherent images of biotissues with subsequent calculation of their autocorrelation functions and spectral densities is proposed. Optical correlation criteria for the early diagnostics of pathologic changes in myometrium (fibromyoma nuclei) and skin (psoriasis) are introduced.
