Wandering atrial pacemaker (prevalence in french hornists)

Summary Continuous electrocardiographic recordings were obtained in a group of French horn players during performance of identical pieces of music. Half of the musicians developed wandering atrial pacemaker. One example is illustrated. The causative mechanism is briefly discussed. This may represent an “occupational” hazard.
