Evaluation of color Doppler sonography diagnosis of submandibular gland tumor

Objective:To explore the value of color Doppler ultrasonography(CDU) in the diagnosis of submandibular gland tumor.Methods:The 2D ultrasonographic,CDU and pulsed wave Doppler ultrasound features of 29 cases of submandibular gland tumor confirmed by operation and pathology were analyzed retrospectively.Results:Among 29 cases 41.4%(12/29) were malignant and 58.6%(17/29) were benign. The tumors rose at the region of submandibular triangle, where substantial echoes and mixed echoes can be showed, CDU shown that the blood flowing signal in tumor and around tumor were rich and disorderly. Artery blood flowing spectroscopy PSV: 7.8～24cm/s, RI: 0.43～0.94. But it is in and around benign submandibular gland tumor without blood signal.Conclusion:CDU had a significant value in diagnosis of submandibular gland tumor.
