Динамика микрофлоры ожоговых ран, леченных с использованием повязки на основе коллагена

The collagen-based dressing was used for accelerating the healing processes in a burn wound. The results of its use in 26 patients with IIIА degree burns have been assessed microbiologically. Comparable burn wounds of the same patients were used as controls. The collagen-based dressing per se does not possess antibacterial properties, its effect lies in accelerating the wound epithelialization that prevents infecting the wound with enterobacteria, reduces the incidence of wound contamination with Staphylococcus aureus, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The wounds remain sterile for a longer time, the rate of microbial contamination is lower, and the number of microorganism strains per sample from a wound is lower than in the control ones.
