New uses of the sequence of his-to-trp-ala-trp-D-phe-lys-nh2 peptide to reduce or delay the onset of cell senescence and signs of skin aging

The present invention relates to the cosmetic use of a composition comprising, as active agent, between 0.1 and 1 .mu.M of a sequence of synthetic peptide His-D-Trp-Ala-Trp-D- Phe-Lys-NH2 or a salt thereof in a physiologically suitable medium, to decrease or delay the onset of cell senescence and signs of skin aging. The present invention also relates to a cosmetic treatment method relating to the new uses, comprising the steps of applying the composition topically, at least once daily for a period of at least 2 days.
