Towards a Theory of Need-Based Justice

In the previous chapters, we summarized the academic debates and findings on need-based justice in five scientific disciplines: philosophy, psychology, economics, sociology, and political science. The objectives of this concluding chapter are to confront the results and theoretical approaches of the individual disciplines with each other and to draw some preliminary conclusions for the design of an interdisciplinary theory of need-based justice. In each of the following ten sections, we present a thesis on the further development of a theory of need-based justice and subsequently, explain it in more detail.
