Uitvoering van de Vogel-en Habitatrichtlijn in de praktijk : Spanningen en mogelijke oplossingsrichtingen

Policymakers and practitioners have different aims in mind when implementing the Birds and Habitats Directives, such as making ecosystems as future-proof as possible, making implementation cost-effective in conjunction with other European and national policies, and garnering as much support as possible for the measures. In practice, they run up against various rules which can present obstacles. This study explores possible solutions to overcome these obstacles within the current rules. The authors set out the requirements for making use of the existing latitude in policy and implementation practice, and indicate additional questions for further research.
