RFLP Standardization Report for Class I/EcoRI

Class I/EcoRI blots were received from four laboratories, and were analyzed as described for the DR beta/MspI system. The class I/EcoRI system identified 20 fragments on the core cell lines (Table 1 and Fig. 1). All fragments were readily identifiable except for 13 and 14. Fragments 13 and 14, listed as frequency 0.000, % faint 0.000, were recorded by one of four laboratories participating, as a faint band on one blot and unreadable on the other two. They were visible in some portions of the blots submitted by other laboratories, but could not be uniformly identified. There were no discrepancies for the duplicate DNAs 9032 and 9056.
